Alexandros Boutique Hotel

A warmly staffed boutique hotel near the Nea Kios waterfront, with large rooms, an excellent breakfast and easy drives to Argos, Mycenae and Nafplio.

Our take

A spacious Nea Kios base for exploring the Argolic plain

Alexandros Boutique Hotel works particularly well for a road trip through the Argolid. It stands in Nea Kios near the waterfront, between Argos and Nafplio, so the ancient theatre, Mycenae, Tiryns and the evening streets of Nafplio all fit naturally into a two- or three-night stay. With only 14 rooms, service feels personal, yet accommodation is unusually generous: many rooms have sitting space, refrigerators or simple self-catering facilities, and hydromassage showers. The American-style breakfast receives consistent praise for both variety and care, while a fitness room, sauna, treatment options, lift and family rooms add substance beyond the boutique label. Staff are exceptionally well regarded for practical recommendations and for making early departures or special diets easier.

This is listed under Argos because it is one of the municipality’s best hotels, but it is not in Argos city centre; a car is necessary for sightseeing and dinner variety. Nea Kios beach is close but functional rather than one of the region’s memorable swimming beaches. Parking is chiefly on the street despite some booking descriptions implying a dedicated car park, and older Expedia reviews mention occasional smoking-rule problems, although more recent feedback is markedly stronger. There is no swimming pool or full dinner restaurant, and wellness facilities are compact. Expedia rates Alexandros 9.2 from 40 reviews, the most persuasive combination of score and review depth in the area’s spacious boutique category. Choose it for hospitality, breakfast and strategic driving, not a walkable Argos address.
