Warm stone-and-timber seclusion in Voutiro
Emotions feels rooted in Evrytania rather than decorated to resemble it. The stone-and-timber building sits below Voutiro’s village church, surrounded by fir-covered slopes but still a short drive from Karpenisi. Hand-painted ceilings, made-to-measure furniture and warm fabrics give rooms individual character, while sizes are generous: doubles start around 35 square metres, selected deluxe rooms add a fireplace, and a separate 50-square-metre suite sleeps four with its own courtyard and living room. A rich breakfast is served in the fireside café, which later becomes a relaxed place for homemade sweets, herbal tea, local tsipouro and board games. Free parking and an EV charger make this an appealing rural base for couples, small families and road-trippers.
Despite the “resort” name, Emotions is a refined country guesthouse rather than a facility-heavy hotel. There is no pool, full spa or dinner restaurant; evenings generally mean driving to Karpenisi or choosing one of the surrounding village tavernas. Voutiro’s final approach includes narrow village streets, and a car is essential for almost every excursion. Fireplaces, private entrances and courtyards belong only to specific categories, so the standard double should not be expected to reproduce the suite experience. Expedia and the hotel currently differ on whether breakfast is bundled into every rate, making the selected rate conditions worth checking. Expedia gives Emotions a perfect 10.0 from 13 reviews, the strongest meaningful score for a traditional country stay around Karpenisi. Come for space, quiet and personal hospitality, not a packed resort timetable.
