Olympion Asty feels less like a sightseeing stopover and more like a small country retreat. The family-owned hotel occupies Drouva Hill above Ancient Olympia, looking across olive country towards the Alfeios valley and, on clear evenings, the Ionian horizon. Its pool and shaded terrace make a convincing place to recover after the archaeological site, while the restaurant serves Greek food at breakfast, lunch and dinner rather than leaving guests dependent on the village.
