Pafsilipo works as Karditsa's front room rather than a formal garden to be checked off. Mature trees, paths and civic spaces connect naturally to the centre's broad squares and pedestrian streets. Walking from the park towards the municipal market and central square reveals why the city feels different from a mountain resort: it is a practical Thessalian centre on the plain, with the Agrafa journey still ahead.
Visit early or around the evening promenade, allowing an hour for a loose circuit and coffee. Paths are generally easier than the mountain attractions outside town, though individual surfaces and kerbs still vary. Peacocks are associated with the park; watch them without feeding, cornering or encouraging children to chase them.
