A clear pebble bay tucked below the Ierapetra road
Agia Fotia sits at the mouth of a small green ravine east of Ierapetra. Darker sand and fine pebble meet clear blue water, while tavernas and accommodation on the slopes give the cove enough infrastructure for a full day without turning it into a large resort.
The access road descends sharply and parking is limited, especially around lunch. The water becomes deep and pebble shifts underfoot, so children and uncertain swimmers need close attention. Natural shade is claimed early; do not rely on the tamarisks instead of bringing sun protection.
