A small southern cove sheltered from the west
Ammouso lies on Lefkada's southern coast east of Cape Lefkatas. Its enclosed shape and pale pebble offer a gentler alternative when west-coast beaches are rough.
The final roads are narrow and parking limited, so arrive before the central summer hours. The cove fills quickly and the water becomes deep beyond the shore shelf. Keep clear of small boats and bring shoes for pebble and submerged rock.
