An islet swim that depends on a boat and the weather
Monolia is the principal swimming stop among the volcanic Lichadonisia islets off northwest Evia. Excursion boats cross from Kavos and nearby ports, usually combining a short beach stay with a circuit of the channels. Pale sand and shallow green water feel far removed from the mainland coast.
This is not an independent road-access beach: the operator, wind and boat schedule shape the day. Ask about return times, shade, accessibility and current wildlife guidance before boarding. The islets are sensitive habitat, so take rubbish back and never approach seals or other animals.
