Leonidio's beach beside a working fishing harbour
Plaka is Leonidio's seafront settlement, set where the Parnon foothills meet a small fishing harbour. A compact inner beach sits by the boats, while the longer outer shore carries sand and fine pebble with clearer separation from harbour activity.
Choose the outer section for sustained swimming and stay inside marked areas because fishing boats and small yachts use the port. The village is useful for lunch and supplies, but summer parking is limited around the waterfront. Pebble patches make shoes worthwhile even where the shore first appears sandy.
