Agia Marina is one of Leros's linked main towns, with pastel mansions, a working harbour and uphill access to Pandeli Castle.
Agia Marina grew along a narrow waterfront during the island's prosperous sponge-diving era. Neoclassical houses line the bay, and lanes climb towards Platanos and the windmills below the Castle of Panagia.
The town remains a practical local centre with cafés, shops and ferries on selected routes. Walking across the saddle to Pandeli connects harbour history with castle views and one of Leros's most attractive evening waterfronts.
Practical information
Some ferries use Agia Marina and others Lakki, so confirm the port. Local buses and taxis link the settlements; the castle walk is steep and exposed.
