Why go

A busy Sithonia harbour with beaches, boats and sunset views.

Neos Marmaras combines a lively waterfront town with long beaches, sailing trips and easy access to the pine-covered western coast of Sithonia.

Neos Marmaras climbs around a natural harbour facing the uninhabited island of Kelyfos. The waterfront is lined with excursion boats and restaurants, while steep streets rise to viewpoints over Toroneos Gulf.

Paradisos beach begins north of town, and the broad Porto Carras coast extends south beside vineyards and pines. Neos Marmaras is one of Sithonia's livelier bases, well suited to travellers who want evening choice as well as day trips by road or boat.

Practical information

Summer buses connect from Thessaloniki, but a car helps with Sithonia's dispersed beaches. Expect steep walking in town and reserve parking and accommodation in August.
