North lie the lagoon of Gialova, crescent-shaped Voidokilia and the restored Palace of Nestor with its Linear B history. Pylos makes a compact, attractive base for combining archaeology, nature and swimming.
Practical information
A car is best for Nestor's Palace and beaches. Wetland paths require wildlife care; use official parking and avoid dunes or closed nesting zones.
