A low islet of pale beaches just off the south coast of Samos.
Samiopoula has a very small resident presence and is visited mainly by day boat for Psalida beach and clear, sheltered water.
Samiopoula lies close enough to southern Samos for its low hills and chapels to remain visible from shore. Day boats gather at Psalida, a small pale beach in turquoise water.
The island has no broad visitor infrastructure, and pastoral or private use continues beyond the landing area. A short swim stop should leave no waste and avoid disturbing residents, livestock or nesting birds.
Practical information
Licensed excursions leave Pythagoreio and Ormos Marathokampou in season. Carry water, confirm shade and return times, and stay within permitted areas.
