Villas above Komitsa Bay
Avaton occupies a peaceful stretch of Komitsa Bay beyond the busier centre of Ouranoupoli. Whitewashed villas step down through planted grounds towards clear water, and the resort’s relatively compact scale keeps the beach, restaurant and accommodation connected without feeling crowded.
Many suites add private pools or terraces, and the strongest categories look directly across the bay. Service is attentive but the mood remains low-key: breakfast drifts late, afternoons centre on the beach and dinner can stay close to the water. Avaton works especially well for couples, honeymooners and families who prefer villa privacy to a large programme of resort entertainment. A car is useful for exploring, though the setting is designed to make leaving optional.
