Evlalia Studios & Villas

Well-equipped studios, family apartments and private-pool villas sharing a beautiful town-view pool, useful parking and a peaceful position near Skopelos Chora.

Our take

Flexible island living in an olive grove above the harbour

Evlalia works particularly well when a standard hotel room feels too restrictive. Its studios, suites, family apartments and villas spread amphitheatrically through an olive grove on the quieter side of Skopelos Town, most with a kitchen or kitchenette and outdoor space. The shared seasonal pool has a children’s section and a superb view back across the water to the tiled roofs of Chora; selected villas add their own small pool. Free private parking, barbecue areas and self-catering facilities suit longer stays, while the pool bar and optional breakfast mean nobody has to cook every morning. The property has been family-run since 1992 and uses solar energy for hot water, a sensible detail rather than a marketing flourish.

Evlalia is near town in island terms, not on the harbour promenade. Expedia places the port about 1.5 kilometres away, and the walk can feel longer in heat or with cases; the uphill, multi-level grounds also have no lift. Pools operate seasonally, generally from May to September, and accommodation varies considerably, so guests should check whether a chosen room has a full kitchen, sea view or private pool rather than assuming all three. This is not a full-service resort with a restaurant, spa or organised children’s programme. It is Skopelos Town’s best-rated flexible self-catering base for couples and families who want room to live, easy parking and a memorable pool view while keeping Chora within reach.
