Outside, a seasonal pool and separate children’s pool face the mountains; indoors, the spa brings a heated pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room and treatment cabins. Breakfast and parking are included, and the restaurant makes an easy fallback after a full day at the Byzantine city. Mystras is around five minutes away by car and central Sparta about ten.
Despite the palace name, this is a contemporary resort complex rather than a historic property, and its conference and wedding business can occasionally change the quiet mood. The outdoor pools are seasonal, spa access and treatments may carry conditions or extra charges, and a car is effectively necessary for sightseeing and varied dining. Families should confirm actual fixed beds: some high-capacity suites rely on sofa beds, which several Expedia guests found less comfortable than the main mattress.
