A flexible village hotel that works well for families
Lagaria has grown from a small 2015 hotel into a 35-room property, but it retains the scale and layout of an independent village stay rather than a coastal mega-resort. The pool and sun terrace form its centre, with bright rooms and larger configurations giving families more workable choices than many romantic Afitos boutiques. The old village, shops and restaurants are within walking distance.
The beach still involves Afitos’s characteristic downhill journey, so a car is helpful for families carrying towels and beach gear and for exploring the rest of Kassandra. Parking arrangements and any charges should be confirmed for the booked dates rather than assumed. Lagaria earns its place here as the balanced option: more facilities and family practicality than a tiny guesthouse, yet a closer connection to village life than the peninsula’s self-contained resorts.
