Maistrali

An unfussy waterfront hotel near the ferry and Livadi’s restaurants, with broad balconies, family apartments and a complimentary port transfer on request.

Our take

The practical seafront choice in Livadi

Maistrali makes a strong base for travellers who want to be part of Livadi rather than retreat behind resort gates. The hotel faces the water about 550 metres from the ferry, placing Avlomonas Beach, the marina and most of the port’s restaurants within a short, level walk. Rooms cover singles, doubles and triples, while two-room apartments sleep four; all have a private balcony facing either the sea or the mountain and Chora’s white houses. A complimentary port transfer can be arranged, and the optional buffet breakfast is served late enough for an easy island morning. Refrigerators, daily housekeeping and the central position keep a stay simple, particularly for visitors without a car.

Maistrali is traditional and straightforward, not a design hotel. There is no pool, spa or private beach, breakfast costs extra, and the apartments do not have kitchens despite their name. Mountain-view rooms miss the waterfront panorama, while sea-facing balconies are closer to Livadi’s road and summer activity. Bed configuration depends on availability, so couples and families should confirm doubles, twins and extra beds before arrival. Late check-in is possible only until 23:00, and parking is easier outside the busiest weeks than in August. Expedia displays a 9.2 score from 253 external reviews, the broadest positive signal among Serifos’s central seafront hotels even though it is not limited to Expedia bookings. Choose Maistrali for ferry convenience, views and evenings on foot; choose Livadakia when having the beach immediately outside matters more.
