Margazi Luxury Rooms

Generous modern rooms and family studios in a quiet position at the edge of town, offering kitchens in selected units, garden space and parking within an easy walk of dinner.

Our take

Contemporary studios beside Areopoli’s old centre

Margazi is a persuasive answer for travellers who like Areopoli’s atmosphere but do not want to sleep in a dark historic tower. Its bright, minimalist rooms begin at a generous 35 square metres, with premium bedding, soundproofing and uncluttered bathrooms. Comfort rooms sleep up to four, while family studios add a private kitchen and dining space that make breakfast with children or a longer stay much easier. The building sits at the foot of Profitis Ilias, just outside the busiest lanes, with a garden, terrace and free parking. It is close enough to walk into the old centre for dinner while retaining a calmer edge-of-town feel.

There is no pool, restaurant or full resort service, and not every room has a kitchen, so the exact category matters. The official operating season runs from March through October, and reception arrangements should be confirmed for a late arrival. Expedia’s 9.8 rating is excellent but rests on only six reviews, a much thinner sample than the other Areopoli choices; treat it as an encouraging signal rather than a settled verdict. Families should also ask about the most convenient ground-floor layout. Margazi is the best fit here for modern space and town access, especially when a kitchenette matters more than spa treatments or a swimming pool.
