Harbour-side studios with kitchens and balconies
Mira Mare is the useful self-catering option in Galaxidi, a small collection of double rooms and studios a few steps behind the waterfront. Every unit has a furnished balcony, while studios add a kitchenette with a hob, microwave, refrigerator and cookware—enough for simple family meals or a longer stop between road-trip stages. Rooms are soundproofed and air-conditioned, free parking is available, and the harbour restaurants, maritime museum and swimming coves are comfortably walkable. The local breakfast is a lavish, homemade affair served in the garden, and massages can be arranged when a slower day is required.
Breakfast is not automatically included. Older Expedia reviews document booking descriptions that caused confusion, and the current listing still carries an obviously erroneous indicative fee, so confirm the rate directly before arrival. The Expedia score is 9.4 but comes from only six reviews and should be treated cautiously, even though broader booking feedback is strong. There is no lift, reception closes early, décor in some units is traditional rather than new, and a past review mentioned an uncomfortable bed and weak air conditioning. Dogs are accepted for a fee. Mira Mare is the best fit for kitchenette independence and balconies, provided expectations are confirmed in advance.
