An uncompromising private-pool resort in Vroskopos Bay
One&Only Kéa Island is less a hotel room by the sea than a private villa woven into an entire resort. Sixty-nine stone villas step down the cliffs of protected Vroskopos Bay, and every one includes a pool, broad terrace and indoor-outdoor living space. One-bedroom cliff villas suit couples, family bay-view villas add a separate living room, and the largest multi-bedroom residences sleep groups of six or eight. Below them sit a sheltered sandy beach, three outdoor pools, an indoor pool, the three-storey One&Only Spa, two restaurants and five bars. Children have their own pool and club, while tennis, padel, water sports and supervised activities mean families can genuinely settle in rather than merely tolerate a luxury couples’ resort.
The scale of the bill matches the scale of the facilities: this is by far Kea’s most expensive hotel, with food, beach cabanas, childcare, activities and transfers capable of adding substantially to the room price. Vroskopos is secluded—Kea port and Vourkari are more than 20 minutes away—so spontaneous independent dinners require a car or arranged transport. The steep cliff layout also involves resort buggies despite lifts and accessible public areas. All villas have pools, but outlook and proximity to the beach vary sharply by category. Expedia’s perfect 10.0 rating comes from only three reviews, far too small for mature consensus, but no other Kea property competes in this all-villa ultra-luxury category. Book it to embrace the resort, not as a convenient base for budget-conscious island exploration.
