Farm breakfast and a pool between Poros Town and the beaches
Saga Hotel fills the useful middle ground between a waterfront resort and a room in Poros Town. The family-run property stands about 100 metres inland between Kanali beach and Neorio Bay, with the harbour promenade roughly ten minutes away on foot. Renovated rooms are bright and generously sized, all with furnished balconies; several include small kitchens that make family stays and longer visits easier. The pool is unusually calm for such a convenient location. Breakfast beside it is the heart of the place, built around eggs, fruit and vegetables from the family farm plus Zefi’s handmade pies, cakes and preserves.
Saga is not directly on the beach and its inland views vary, so travellers wanting to wake above the water should book the relevant room rather than assume. The walk into town is easy for most guests but includes roadside stretches, and the return from the clock tower climbs more than the map suggests. There is no full dinner restaurant, spa or private beach; nearby tavernas and the local bus fill those gaps. The hotel closes for part of winter. Saga is Poros’s best family-run aparthotel for hospitality, kitchen flexibility and a location that lets guests alternate town evenings with low-effort beach days.
