The garden faces Astraka
Astra sits at the edge of Megalo Papingo on the road toward Mikro Papingo, with vine-shaded tables facing Astraka's limestone walls. Hikers and vegetarians join meat eaters for garden courgettes, stuffed flowers, beans, mushrooms, trout, meatballs and risotto grown or sourced close to the village.
The terrace catches the last mountain light, and that row goes first. Reserve for sunset, carry a layer after dark and ask which vegetables the cook picked that day; June 2026 repeat visitors found food consistent but service noticeably weaker on their second night.
