Mavrikos belongs to Lindos rather than merely occupying it. Generations of the same family have cooked on the village square, and the menu’s interest lies in seasonal Rhodian produce, seafood and recipes refined without losing their origin.
Reserve in high season and arrive on foot from legal parking outside the pedestrian village. Ask what is seasonal and confirm fish by weight and price. Lunch can be the better experience: it gives the cooking attention before the square fills and leaves the cooler late afternoon for the acropolis or a swim.
