Robola escapes the obvious pairing
Oenops sits one street off Argostoli's pedestrian centre, with low lighting, bar seats and outdoor tables but no harbour spectacle. Sea-bass ceviche, seafood risotto, slow lamb with pasta, beef fillet and deconstructed desserts give the cellar's Greek wines serious work.
Ask for Robola or another island bottle by the glass before committing to a full bottle. Staff handle gluten-free adaptations well, dinner runs until 1am and late tables remain possible; confirm bottle prices, since one past service dispute began over a cracked glass from a €35 wine.
What visitors say
Oenops holds 4.5 from about 333 Tripadvisor reviews and a 2025 Travelers' Choice award; wine knowledge, sea bass, lamb and gluten-free care lead recent praise.
