Walk the former French Mining Company works without assuming every industrial building is a daily public museum
This large industrial ensemble carries Lavrio's second mining era into the present. The National Technical University established the park in the former French company works, retaining buildings and equipment while giving parts of the site new research and cultural uses. The contrast is productive: conservation here is not a frozen factory set, but an active reuse project.
Check the park's current event and visitor information before going. Access to the grounds does not guarantee entry to a particular workshop, exhibition or the mining museum project, and weekday activity may be operational rather than touristic. Respect closed doors and work zones. The site is spread out over mixed surfaces, so ask in advance about step-free routes, toilets and available interpretation.
