Watch the island organise itself around each arrival, then return when the quay becomes quiet again
Porto is not a monumental sight, but it is the clearest expression of how Ereikoussa works. Boat arrivals bring supplies, visitors and returning families; between them, the quay settles into a slower rhythm. Walk the beach and lanes, notice the relation between harbour and scattered interior homes, and use local businesses rather than only passing through.
Keep luggage and beach gear away from working areas. Ask before photographing fishermen or residents, and never obstruct mooring lines. The most rewarding hours are early morning and after the final excursion departure.
