Spring-fed Votomos Lake above Zaros is a shaded local recreation area and the principal starting point for walks into Rouvas Gorge.
The small landscaped lake is pleasant for an easy circuit, coffee and route planning rather than wild swimming. Arrive early on weekends, keep wildlife unfed and use marked paths. The water landscape connects directly to Zaros's spring culture and the E4 trail. Confirm trail conditions separately; a calm lakeside visit does not indicate safe gorge weather.
