Follow the dirt route to a sheltered northwest bay only with enough time and water for the full return
This walk gives a fuller sense of Thymaina's scale than the short route to Keramidou. A dirt road crosses open country to Limnionas Bay, where the small Agio Nikolaki church and tamarisks mark a naturally sheltered stop. The absence of services keeps the outing quiet but raises the preparation required.
Leave early, use closed shoes and carry water for both directions. Download a map, tell someone your plan and avoid disturbing livestock or entering closed property. Wind shelter at the bay does not guarantee comfortable conditions elsewhere on the route, so reassess before extending the day.
