Walk south to Thymaina's most sociable cove for sand, tamarisks and lunch close to the water
More than one hundred metres of sand and old tamarisks make Keramidou the island's most comfortable full beach day. The protected bay contains a tiny settlement, fishing boats, a taverna and a few rooms, giving it useful support without turning it into a developed resort.
Walk roughly twenty minutes from Thymaina or ask about the seasonal water taxi from Fournoi. Shade is limited and not guaranteed, while boats use the cove. Confirm the taverna is open before depending on lunch and carry water for the return route.
