Follow southern Salamis through pine woodland to Kanakia's open shore without expecting a manicured resort beach
Kanakia shows the greener, less urban side of Salamis. Pine forest reaches towards a broad shore, and the journey south passes a landscape far removed from Paloukia's ferry traffic. A walk can be as simple as a beach circuit or can use current local guidance to approach nearby archaeological terrain. The reward is space and context, not rows of services; water clarity and beach condition vary with wind and currents.
Bring water, food and sun protection, then take every item home. Use only established tracks and never enter fenced archaeological areas.
