Poros's practical all-day beach
Askeli is one of Poros's most useful beaches rather than its most secluded. A long curve of sand and fine pebble gives families and groups room to settle, while cafés, tavernas and water sports sit directly behind the shore. It is close enough to town to reach by bus, bicycle or even on foot in cooler weather.
Choose the central section for service or walk toward an open stretch if you have your own umbrella. The bay is usually manageable for swimming, but marked water-sports corridors deserve space and summer afternoons can become busy both on land and in the water.
