Emporeios Beach

Emporeios is a small pebble bay at the end of Kalymnos's west-coast road, supported by tavernas and protected from the island's busier climbing base.

Our take

Kalymnos's quiet northern road-end village beach

Emporeios marks the end of the public coast road north of Masouri. A handful of tavernas and rooms face a compact pebble shore, with bare mountain behind and Telendos farther down the channel.

The beach is small enough to feel crowded when boats and road visitors arrive together. Shoes help on pebble and the water reaches swimming depth quickly. Confirm the last bus or taxi plan before dinner, as the distance back to Pothia is significant.
