Shallow sand at the centre of a lively coastal village
The main beach at Finikounda runs beside the village and small fishing harbour between Methoni and Koroni. Fine sand, a gentle entry and views toward the Messinian Oinousses make it an easy family swim, while the seafront supplies everything from breakfast to boat outings.
The central section becomes crowded and small craft operate near the harbour, so keep within marked bathing water. Afternoon breeze can cool the bay and raise chop. If organised seating feels dense, continue beyond the village core or use nearby Mavrovouni rather than occupying access corridors.
