Mikri Vigla Beach

Mikri Vigla's northern Parthena side is a renowned kitesurf spot, while the southern bay is sandy, shallower and better sheltered for ordinary swimming.

Our take

One headland separating kites from calm family water

A rocky headland divides Mikri Vigla into two distinct beaches. Parthena to the north receives the meltemi and hosts kite and windsurf schools; the south-facing bay is calmer, with fine sand and a gentler family atmosphere.

Choose the correct side before unloading. Swimmers should never cross launch corridors on the northern beach, and beginners should use a recognised school. The road is paved most of the way, with dust and limited shade around final parking areas.
