Skopelos's most practical pebble bay
Panormos is the easy all-day choice on Skopelos. The wide west-coast bay has clear, generally calm water and a developed village frontage with tavernas, mini-markets and rooms. It offers more practical depth than the island's tiny coves.
Pebble makes water shoes useful and the sea becomes deep fairly quickly. The road runs close behind parts of the beach, so families should supervise children crossing between parking, restaurants and the shore. Sunset is excellent from the bay.
