Agios Spyridon Church remains the spiritual centre, and philharmonic bands shape festivals and Easter processions. Restaurants serve dishes found nowhere else in Greece, best explored away from the most obvious cruise routes.
Practical information
The airport is close enough for a short taxi or bus ride. The historic core is pedestrian; visit before cruise crowds, reserve Easter travel far ahead and use city buses for Kanoni.
