Kastos village lines a sheltered harbour with stone houses, tavernas and boats rather than cars. Olive groves cover the low island, and a road and paths lead to small coves such as Fokotrypa.

Practical information
Local boats usually connect from Mytikas; schedules are sparse outside summer. Bring cash and essentials, and do not rely on island vehicle rental.
