Why go

A car-free harbour islet with only a handful of seasonal residents.

Marathi offers protected anchorage, simple waterfront rooms and complete quiet between Arki, Patmos and Lipsi.

Marathi's deep bay shelters sailing boats and a tiny cluster of family-run tavernas and rooms. There are no roads, shops or formal attractions; the island's scale is the experience.

Days centre on swimming, watching boats enter the harbour and walking short tracks across dry hills. Water and waste capacity are limited, so visitors should use services lightly and support the resident businesses directly.

Practical information

Excursion boats and small regional services may call from Patmos or Lipsi in summer. Confirm the return journey, bring cash and do not expect medical or banking services.
