Why go

A busy Lefkada waterfront at the heart of the Inner Ionian sailing grounds.

Nidri is the island's main excursion and charter-boat base, facing Meganisi and the Princes' Islands with waterfalls and mountain views inland.

Nidri looks across calm water towards Meganisi, Skorpios and a chain of green islets. Its long waterfront is full of sailing boats, ferries and excursions, making it practical and lively rather than secluded.

A path inland reaches the seasonal Dimosari waterfalls, while roads climb towards Rachi and mountain viewpoints. Nidri works well for travellers prioritising boat access, restaurants and services over a quiet beach.

Practical information

Buses connect Nidri with Lefkada Town and Vasiliki. Compare boat group sizes and routes, and expect waterfalls to have little flow after dry summers.
