Alonnisos's working ferry port and centre for marine-park travel.
Patitiri is the island's transport and service hub, with a compact harbour, nearby swimming coves and information on the Northern Sporades marine park.
Patitiri became Alonnisos's capital after the 1965 earthquake displaced residents from Chora. White houses gather around a steep-sided harbour where ferries, fishing boats and excursion vessels share the quay.
The town provides the marine-park information centre, supermarkets and island buses. Small beaches sit within walking distance, and evening tavernas make the port more than a transit stop.
Practical information
All major ferries use Patitiri. Book marine-park trips through licensed operators, confirm bus times to Chora and Steni Vala and allow for wind delays.
