A tiny island village gathered around one sandy Dodecanese bay.
Pserimos has a small resident community, clear water and a single main settlement that becomes lively when excursion boats arrive from Kos and Kalymnos.
Avlakia is both port and village, wrapped around a shallow sandy beach with tavernas and a few rooms. Away from the midday boats, tracks cross low hills towards quieter coves and reveal the limited scale of year-round life.
Pserimos works best with time rather than as a brief swim stop. Staying overnight supports local families and allows the harbour to settle after day cruises, though services remain basic.
Practical information
Excursion boats run from Kos and local boats from Kalymnos; regular schedules are limited. Confirm return transport, bring cash and carry supplies outside high season.
