There is no swimming pool, most rooms do not offer a broad sea view, and the 18-square-metre classic category can feel tight beside the larger suites. Spa treatments need planning, and anyone arriving by car should arrange parking before entering the old centre’s one-way streets. Restaurant and courtyard activity may also matter to very light sleepers in nearby rooms. Expedia’s 9.8 score from 46 reviews shows that the warmth of the staff matches the restoration. Castro is Syros’s best small spa hotel and a more facilities-led alternative to seasonal Ploes, particularly for couples who want architecture, restaurants and culture at the door.
