A friendly little seafront base beside Aegina harbour
Hotel Plaza stands at the northern edge of Aegina Town’s waterfront, close enough to walk from the ferry with ordinary luggage. The small sandy beach, Temple of Apollo and lanes around the fish market are all minutes away. Rooms are modest and individually arranged, with the sea-facing balconies providing the real prize: open views beyond the waterfront without losing the pleasures of staying in town.
This is a personal, long-running hotel rather than a polished resort. There is no pool, lift or large communal area, and some bathrooms are compact, but the Kalamakis family’s attentive hosting is a recurring reason guests return. Cafés, tavernas, buses and boat departures are immediately accessible, making a car unnecessary for a short visit. Hotel Plaza is the strongest town choice for value-conscious couples or solo travellers who want to step straight into island life and would rather pay for location and care than a list of facilities.
