Nafs Hotel

A 42-room hotel directly beside Psani Beach, combining sea-view balconies, included breakfast and an outdoor pool only a short level walk from the harbour.

Our take

A central seafront stay with Nafpaktos’s rare hotel pool

Nafs is the most convenient answer for travellers who want water at the centre of a Nafpaktos stay. The 42-room hotel sits roughly ten metres from Psani’s pebble beach and about 150 metres from the Venetian harbour, with the commercial centre equally close. Many rooms have private balconies over the Gulf of Corinth, and categories run from singles and doubles to triples and top-floor loft rooms. Breakfast is included, beach loungers are supplied, and the outdoor pool and pool bar offer a useful alternative when the gulf is choppy or the midday sun is too strong for sightseeing. A 24-hour reception, lift, café lounge and bicycle rental give Nafs more hotel infrastructure than most small properties in town without isolating guests from local restaurants.

The trade-off for such a central waterfront position is parking: Nafs has none of its own, and finding a street space can take time in high summer. The outdoor pool is a compact urban amenity rather than a resort lagoon, and its lively bar atmosphere will not suit everyone seeking complete quiet. Psani is pebbled, so water shoes can be useful, while the sea view and balcony need to be selected rather than assumed for every category. Loft rooms gain character under the roof but sacrifice some conventional wall height. The hotel has café and room-service options, yet Nafpaktos’s tavernas remain the stronger plan for dinner. Expedia rates Nafs 9.2 from 125 reviews—the largest reliable sample among the town’s better hotels—and its combination of pool, beach and level harbour access is unique in this trio.
