Match the sector to your grade, the shade and the descent—not to a photograph of the island's biggest wall
Telendos is internationally significant for climbing, from accessible sport sectors to serious multi-pitch lines. Conditions vary by aspect, season and maintenance; a route's historic grade does not guarantee sound hardware or an easy descent. Boat access can shorten approaches to sectors such as Irox or Miltiades.
Use the latest local guidebook, inspect equipment, wear helmets and avoid climbing beneath other parties. Hire a qualified guide if experience is limited. Carry water, start around shade and never improvise a descent in darkness.
