Hohlakas Beach

Hohlakas is a west-facing pebble beach reached on foot from Telendos village, known for open-sea views and sunset rather than facilities.

Our take

Cross to the western shore for sunset, returning before an unfamiliar rocky path becomes dark

Hohlakas faces away from Kalymnos and gives Telendos its most expansive sunset. The stony shore and western exposure create a rougher character than Potha, especially when wind crosses the open Aegean. It works as a late swim only on a settled day.

Wear aqua shoes and carry a torch even if you plan to return before dark. The path is uneven, services are limited and there may be no lifeguard. Never swim alone near sunset when sea conditions are changing.
