North Evia's long, open Aegean beach
Agia Anna, also called Agali, is long enough to support several different beach days. The central settlement has accommodation, tavernas and organised seating; walking away from it leads to quieter stretches. The shore's scale is impressive, but so is its exposure to northeast weather.
Morning can be calm while the afternoon develops waves. Families should choose a supervised central section and assess the shore break rather than relying on the beach's sandy appearance. The length makes a car useful if your preferred section is outside the village.
