Long dunes and clear water west of Kavala
Ammolofoi stretches through a series of low dunes west of Nea Peramos, about 23 kilometres from Kavala. Fine pale sand and clear, gradually deepening water give the coast an easy holiday rhythm, while its length prevents the beach clubs from defining the whole experience.
Choose your section before parking. The central concessions suit visitors who want showers, food and music; the gaps between them are better for a towel and umbrella of your own. Protect the dunes by using established approaches, and check the wind forecast because an otherwise gentle shore can develop short, energetic waves.
