Atsitsa Beach

Atsitsa is a small, quiet west-coast shore beneath pines, where remnants of the old mineral-loading system give the bay an unusual historical layer.

Our take

Pine shade and industrial traces on Skyros's west coast

Atsitsa is a seaside hamlet on greener northern Skyros, reached through pine forest. Small pebble and rocky entries line the bay, while old wagons and loading remains recall the period when minerals moved from the Pouria quarry to ships here.

This is not a large organised beach. Bring water and shoes, use established paths around industrial remains and avoid climbing structures. The bay is more protected from east wind than Molos but exposed to west weather.
