Bilali Beach

Bilali is a sand-and-pebble cove north of Oinousses town, valued for easy road access, relatively shallow water and some shade.

Our take

The island's easiest family swim, with shallow water and limited seasonal support

Bilali is the practical first beach for an overnight stay. The cove lies north of the village, with sand mixed with pebbles and an entry commonly described as shallow. Trees and simple shade structures can make it more forgiving for families than the island's rougher coves. Conditions still change with wind, and adults should check the day's depth and footing before children enter.

Seasonal bar service and basic facilities have been reported, but neither staffing nor opening dates should be assumed. Bring water, sun protection and anything a child requires even when the venue appears open. There is road access, yet transport from town should be arranged if you do not have a vehicle. Keep clear of private drives, take litter away and never treat calm water as proof that lifeguard cover exists.
